Abstract
⺠We study larval development of barnacles from vent and seeps at two temperatures. ⺠Ashinkailepas seepiophila completed the development in 65 days at 4 °C, shorter than Neoverruca sp. in 100 days. ⺠Opposed to Neoverruca, A. seepiophila did not respond dramatically to thermal stimulation. ⺠Barnacles that live in active seeps and inactive vents showed weak thermal response in larval development.
