Abstract
⺠Evidence of previously unreported bioerosion of deep-sea coral by echinoids. ⺠Echinoid specimens contained coral fragments in their gastrointestinal tract. ⺠Video observations suggest active predation on the living framework of coral. ⺠Consequences for the stability of these systems are discussed in light of the findings.
