Abstract
⺠The micronekton and macrozooplankton communities were studied around Guam. ⺠Pelagic biomass decreased from south to north, values are calculated for major groups. ⺠Assemblages based on larger taxonomic groupings showed a distinct change with latitude. ⺠Assemblages based on taxonomically resolved taxa varied on each side of the islands. ⺠Theoretical estimate of migrating mesopelagic fishes around Guam is about 132 species.
