Abstract
⺠Cameras baited with mackerel and Sargassum were used in the abyssal Sargasso Sea. ⺠Mackerel attracted a community of ophidiid fish and few rattails. ⺠Differing productivity regimes may explain regional differences in scavenging fish. ⺠Sargassum attracted a different community dominated by a large isopod.
