Abstract
⺠Simple conceptual non-steady state box model for the cycling of Si-isotopes. ⺠Included processes: uptake, dissolution, advection, vertical mixing and settling. ⺠Model applied to Kerguelen Plateau area to simulate growth season. ⺠By fitting to (scarce) data, processes rates can be estimated simultaneously. ⺠Sensitivity study shows robustness of model.
