Abstract
⺠Mesoscale eddies in Rockall Trough were studied using in situ and satellite data. ⺠North of Porcupine Bank, mostly anticyclonic eddies were formed. ⺠Eddies near the continental slope are likely formed by the Slope Current. ⺠An eddy near the slope contained Mediterranean Water at intermediate depth. ⺠North Atlantic Current eddies can be found in the southwestern Rockall Trough.
