Abstract
⺠We examined depth-related changes in diversity of decapod crustaceans in Madeira Archipelago. ⺠Diversity patterns varied according to taxonomic level and life strategies. ⺠Ecological hypotheses implicating temperature and food availability are the main causal predictors.
