Abstract
⺠Two later summer typhoons effects on water quality in HK waters are discussed. ⺠Increasing discharge by the heavy typhoon rainfall quickly re-set stratification. ⺠Mixing and dilution effects are short-lived in high discharge dominated HK waters. ⺠Typhoon events increase the resistance to eutrophication in HK coastal ecosystems.
