Abstract
⺠Effect of cyclone height on efficiency was studied by varying conical section. ⺠The maximum-efficiency cyclone height is reduced with reduce of the inlet size. ⺠Changing trends of maximum-efficiency height and natural vortex length are similar. ⺠“Vortex turning” is a key inherent factor determining the maximum-efficiency height. ⺠Effect of inlet on maximum-efficiency height depends on natural vortex length change.
