Abstract
In this paper, we study the notion of the Dobrushin ergodicity coefficient for positive contractions defined on the predual Mâ of von Neumann algebra M. Moreover, in terms of this coefficient, we prove ergodic-type theorems for nonhomogeneous Markov chains on Mâ.
