Abstract
⺠The SO2 adsorption process in a DSI plant with Ca(OH)2 is numerically simulated. ⺠The strong 3D effects of the flow field on the desulfurization are clearly shown and analyzed. ⺠A mixing efficiency parameter, ξmix, is introduced. ⺠ξmix univocally identifies the more efficient plant's configuration.
