Abstract
► Effect of velocity gradient on properties and filterability of waterworks suspension. ► With increasing velocity gradient aggregate size decreased and compactness increased. ► Suspension properties did not influence the efficiency of impurities removal. ► Aggregate properties affected filtration time, pressure drop and dirt holding capacity. ► The smallest and most compact aggregates formed at G > 200 s−1 proved the best filterability.
