Abstract
⺠Effect of velocity gradient on properties and filterability of waterworks suspension. ⺠With increasing velocity gradient aggregate size decreased and compactness increased. ⺠Suspension properties did not influence the efficiency of impurities removal. ⺠Aggregate properties affected filtration time, pressure drop and dirt holding capacity. ⺠The smallest and most compact aggregates formed at G > 200 sâ1 proved the best filterability.
