Abstract
⺠Nickel was solubilized from the hyperaccumulating plant Alyssum murale. ⺠Direct selective nickel precipitation of the solubilized nickel was not possible. ⺠Solvent extraction (cyanex 272) and electroplating allowed a nickel recovery of 72%. ⺠This hydrometallurgical process is ready to be up scaled.
