Abstract
The use of the Weibull plotting position is briefly described outlining related analysis of exceptional snow loads. The occurrence of exceptional snow loads is illustrated by the variability of small size sample realizations of extreme value distribution functions. The quality of available snow load data as related to the spatial dependency analysis is mentioned.
