Abstract
Age interpolation based on our new high-resolution geochronologic framework and the calibrated cyclostratigraphy places the end of the Cretaceous Normal Superchon (C34n-C33r chron boundary) in the Songliao Basin at 83.07±0.15Ma. This date also serves as a new and improved estimate for the global Santonian-Campanian stage boundary.
