Abstract
- Montagne Noire migmatite dome (France) contains the youngest Variscan eclogite (â¼315 Ma).
- Eclogite P-T-t determined by thermobarometry and U-Pb + REE analysis of zoned zircon.
- High-P eclogite metamorphism was nearly synchronous with low-P host migmatite crystallization.
- Eclogite and migmatite dome both formed at plateau-foreland boundary.
- Crustal thickening/eclogite related to transpression; exhumation/doming to transtension.
