Abstract
▶ A three-bed PSA cycle for methane/nitrogen separation is simulated. ▶ The cycle can give high purity, recovery and productivity. ▶ The novelty of this PSA separation is the combination of rinse and equalization steps. ▶ The effect of increasing the number of equalization steps in the cycle is studied. ▶ The theoretical power requirement is lower than the one reported for membrane systems.
