Abstract
⺠Different methods of volcanic plume height determination give different altitudes. ⺠The basic satellite temperature method underestimates true plume top heights. ⺠Radar and stereo methods for plume height determination are quite accurate. ⺠Data fusion is the best way to accurately determine plume top height. ⺠Accurate plume top height allows for more accurate ash dispersion forecasts.
