Abstract
⺠A detailed study of the emplacement of the final 2009 lava dome on Redoubt Volcano ⺠Growth changed from effusion of blocky lava to injection beneath a fracturing/annealing crust, to exogenous growth. ⺠Exogenous growth produced highly vesicular (55-66%) lava at the dome apex. ⺠Dome stability was likely due to vent location and size, and the ability of the dome to reach magmastatic pressures.
