Abstract
The formation depths of the lamprophyric magmas, and the xenoliths they contain, contrast with the calculated depths to the base of the depleted lithosphere based on xenoliths retrieved from post-Archean kimberlites. The differences imply a late docking of the ~Â 150-160Â km deep Archean keel beneath the Abitibi-Wawa terrane following the emplacement of major orogenic gold deposits.
