Abstract
⺠We argue the Rum peridotite plugs were conduits for olivine-phyric magma. ⺠The olivine microstructure formed by crystal settling. ⺠Porosity was reduced by grain re-arrangement and overgrowth. ⺠Comparison with the layered series points to a thin, non-compacting mush zone.
