Abstract
⺠We investigate two Miocene plutons in western Tibetan Plateau. ⺠They show an association of granite and syenite. ⺠They are shoshonitic with very high Ba (up to 9100 ppm) and Sr (up to 3100 ppm) concentrations. ⺠They were derived by partial melting of a slab melt-hybridized lithospheric mantle. ⺠The continental slab break-off was the mechanism associated with their origin.
