Abstract
► The effects of polybaric melting on the physical properties of mantle residues. ► Max. increases in Vp and Vs of the residue are ~ 1% and 1.7%. ► For Vp, these effects are not linear. ► Vp/Vs of residues is strongly dependent on the melting history. ► Density/Vs is a reliable indicator of degree of melting.
