Abstract
⺠Microstructural (EBSD) data from zircon grains analysed in a kinematic context from sheared gabbros. ⺠Zircon grains from the same environmental conditions can be deformed by different slip systems. ⺠Primary orientation and high strain rate favours one or several glide systems within a single grain. ⺠Glide system could be dependant of pressure, temperature and strain rate. ⺠Zircon grains record plastic deformation and rigid body rotation.
