Abstract
⺠Four high-K calc-alkalic plutons display igneous epidote in NE Brazil. ⺠Measured partial corrosion of epidote records speed rates lesser than 1000 m/year. ⺠Shearing allowed rapid magma transport through hot crust at peak of metamorphism.
