Abstract

âº Crystallization ages and ÎµNd values determined from Núria and Guilleries massifs. âº U-Pb SHRIMP zircon ages of Pre-Variscan orthogneisses range from 488 to 451Â Ma. âº Detrital zircon ages in a metapelite host range from Neoproterozoic to Neoarchean. âº ÎµNd of orthogneisses, between âÂ 2.1 and âÂ 5.2 at 450Â Ma, record Panafrican arc crust. âº Crustal level of Ordovician melting is not exposed in eastern Pyrenees.
