Abstract
⺠The petrogenesis of the Rio Maria suite required melting of a metasomatized mantle. ⺠The mantle is metasomatized by addition of about 20-30% TTG-like melt. ⺠The modal and chemical data indicated two sanukitoid series of the Rio Maria suite. ⺠The granodiorite and monzonite series are apparently a feature of the sanukitoids. ⺠Our results indicate that Rio Maria magmas were originated in a two stage process.
