Abstract
⺠The Monte Rosa nappe shows a polymetamorphic and polycyclic evolution. ⺠Metamorphic evolution is related to multiple burial-exhumation cycles. ⺠Pseudosection modelling of metabasite and metapelite in southern Monte Rosa nappe. ⺠PT path shows a post-eclogitic decompression trajectory followed by a PT increase. ⺠HP conditions reached 570 °C and 27 kbar, while late re-equilibration developed from 550 to 600 °C and 7 to 9 kbar.
