Abstract
⺠Triassic lavas from Hawasina Nappes are mainly alkali basalts and trachybasalts. ⺠They derive from low-degree melting of an enriched OIB-type mantle source. > Geochemical features are remarkably similar to those of their Permian ancestors. ⺠The lithospheric mantle metasomatized by Permian plume-related melts is involved. ⺠Petrogenesis is tentatively related to post-breakup remobilization of the Oman margin.
