Abstract

âº SIMS U-Pb zircon ages of sanukitoids from Finnish Karelia indicate emplacement at ~ 2715 and 2745 Ma. âº Inherited zircon cores in more felsic sanukitoids show 207Pb/206Pb ages between ~ 3240 and 2750 Ma. âº Western and eastern sanukitoid zones in the Karelian Province show a ~ 20 Ma apparent age difference.
