Abstract
► The Guyang batholith from the northern NCC had an early Permian emplacement time. ► Various rock types from the batholith exhibit a high-K calc-alkaline affinity. ► Their generation involves enriched mantle-derived mafic and crustal felsic magmas. ► The magma association attests to episodic crust-mantle interaction. ► This interaction witnessed a metacratonic process in the northern NCC.
