Abstract
⺠Two samples of continental slivers from Alpine Corsica reveal a polyphased Permian and Alpine metamorphic history. ⺠Garnet cores and zircon rims preserve a high-temperature event associated to Permian extension. ⺠Complexly zoned garnet crystals and massive lawsonite crystallisation record a Ca-rich metasomatism. ⺠Recrystallised zircon domains permitted to date the Alpine pressure peak and metasomatism at ~34.4±0.8 Ma.
