Abstract
⺠We use a quantitative, numerical, xenolith P-T based palaeogeotherm calculation method. âºWe obtain more precise estimates of the palaeogeotherm than previous, more qualitative methods. ⺠Screening xenolith P-T data prior to calculation of the palaeogeotherm increases precision. ⺠Geotherms calculated from xenocryst data yield less precise estimates of lithosphere properties. ⺠We show comparisons of Seismically obtained geotherms and xenolith-based palaeogeotherms.
