Abstract
⺠Forty-seven OSL ages were determined for beach ridges of the Mekong River delta. ⺠Decadal- to centennial-scale shoreline changes since 3500 years ago were illustrated. ⺠The chronology clarified the regularity of the shoreline progradation in the past. ⺠Effects of climate changes on shoreline accretion and retreat were inferred. ⺠Decrease in sediment supply does not exclusively cause the recent costal erosion.
