Abstract
► High-resolution magnetic surveys delineate heavy mineral sediment concentrations. ► Comparisons to morphology show their dependence on tidal currents and wave action. ► Their distributions reflect erosional processes occurring in parts of Chesapeake Bay. ► The prevalence of these processes appears to vary with Holocene sea level changes.
