Abstract
⺠We investigate the effects of cold water injection in a fracture zone-intact rock system. ⺠Coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical and hydro-mechanical simulations are performed. ⺠THM coupling describes processes that can play a key role in the triggering of induced seismicity. ⺠The greatest thermal effects occur in the rock mass surrounding the fracture zone.
