Abstract
⺠Botswana land use policy is dominated by bureaucracy with limited uptake of indigenous knowledge. ⺠Livelihoods of molapo farmers in Okavango Delta is dominated by arable and livestock farming. ⺠Molapo farming is an important livelihood activity for rural communities. ⺠IK is used by molapo farmers although not adequately incorporated into land use plans and policy. ⺠IK has the potential to improve rural livelihoods if supported by land use policy.
