Abstract
⺠The Katherina volcanics is a succession of rhyolitic lavas with minor pyroclastics. ⺠They exhibit a potassic alkaline and peraluminous affinity and A-type character. ⺠Evolution was through fractional crystallization of mantle-derived parental magma. ⺠Had been emplaced within anorogenic period in within-plate volcanic zones setting.
