Abstract
► New insights into the emplacement and tectono-metamorphic ages of the Capivarita Anorthosite Complex were presented. ► Precise in situ U-Pb mineral ages were carried out for the anorthosite and co-magmatic hosted rocks. ► The obtained data suggest a magmatic crystallization at 1.57 Ga and unroofing at 1.53 Ga. ► These rocks were deformed and metamorphosed in upper amphibolite facies during the Brasiliano cycle. ► The complex is a Mesoproterozoic intraplate crustal fragment probably associated with earlier Columbia Supercontinent.
