Abstract
⺠New insights into the emplacement and tectono-metamorphic ages of the Capivarita Anorthosite Complex were presented. ⺠Precise in situ U-Pb mineral ages were carried out for the anorthosite and co-magmatic hosted rocks. ⺠The obtained data suggest a magmatic crystallization at 1.57 Ga and unroofing at 1.53 Ga. ⺠These rocks were deformed and metamorphosed in upper amphibolite facies during the Brasiliano cycle. ⺠The complex is a Mesoproterozoic intraplate crustal fragment probably associated with earlier Columbia Supercontinent.
