Abstract
⺠A ca. 2.68-2.63 Ga Neoarchean steep remanence has been preserved in the Karelia craton of Baltica. ⺠At ca. 2.7-2.6 Ga the Karelia craton was located at high paleolatitudes of 80-60°. ⺠By 2.5 Ga the Karelia craton had drifted to near-equatorial latitude. ⺠The Karelia and Superior cratons were in close proximity to each other at 2.7-2.5 Ga.
