Abstract
For the first time we questioned the possibility of dating such architectural structures well presented in the Orkhon Valley, Mongolia. The study suggests that at the site “Lungijn Durvulzhin” the oldest part of the ramparts was constructed at 60 ± 100 BC (OSL), confirming human occupation and settlement activities during the Xiongnu period (200 BC-150 AD) and indicating reconstructing during 950 ± 70 AD.
