U-Pb (SHRIMP II), Lu-Hf isotope and trace element geochemistry of zircons from high-grade metamorphic rocks of the Irkut terrane, Sharyzhalgay Uplift: Implications for the Neoarchaean evolution of the Siberian Craton

► The protoliths of Sharyzhalgay granulites formed at 2.7 Ga at an active continental margin. ► Neoarchaean collisional metamorphism and granite magmatism occurred at ~ 2.55 Ga. ► Assembly of the Siberian Craton began in the Neoarchaean and ended at 2.0-1.85 Ga.
