Abstract
► The age of pre-orogenic felsic metavolcanics in Southern Armorica is ca. 470-490 Ma (SHRIMP zircon). ► The volcanics have a calc-alkaline chemistry derived from their crustal source. ► The timing of Gondwana breakup and the structure of the Ibero-Armorican arc are refined.
