Abstract
⺠Changes in redox conditions, extinctions and SST spanning the OAE2 are clarified. ⺠In depth-transect analyses presented. ⺠Extinctions correlated to repeated oceanic anoxia. ⺠Extinctions started from the continental slope and moved to the continental shelf. ⺠This was the result of the repeated progression of euxinic-anoxic water.
