Abstract
⺠We survey high-P metamorphic rocks in Antarctica to point out paleo-suture zones. ⺠Eclogites at the eastern margin of the Mawson block indicate convergence at 1.7 Ga, ⺠Coronitic metabasites are similar to those of the Grenvillian belt of Canada. ⺠Pan-African eclogite-facies rocks belong to the Mozambique orogenic belt. ⺠(Ultra)high-P rocks were involved in the subduction-accretion Ross and Andean orogens.
