Abstract
⺠Metamorphic rocks in the Woodlark Rift originated as volcaniclastic sediments. ⺠These sediments were generated in the Cretaceous Whitsunday Volcanic Province. ⺠This indicates that these metamorphic rocks were once part of the Australian margin.
