Abstract
⺠Detrital zircons defined the provenance of sediments at the border of the Amazon Craton and Rio Apa Block. ⺠A Late Cryogenian Marinoan glaciation is suggested by the 706 Ma maximum age of the Puga diamictites. ⺠The youngest zircon of Puga diamictites constrains the age of the southern Paraguay BIF deposits.
