Abstract
												⺠Glauconites were classified as slightly evolved or of low to moderate maturity. ⺠They were considered as parautochthonous. ⺠They formed from detrital smectite through diffusion of K from the seawater. ⺠Evidence of marine transgression in Egypt during Cenomanian.
