Abstract
⺠Ductile shear zones nucleated on planar mechanical or compositional heterogeneities. ⺠In granitoid plutons, sets of fractures developed at the early stages of postmagmatic cooling. ⺠Both jointing and shearing occurred at temperatures exceeding 500 °C.
