Abstract
⺠We studied spreading and stable volcanic cones deformed by strike-slip faults. ⺠The conclusions of this study are based on analogue models. ⺠Transpressional to transtensional regional faults form Sigmoid-I fault in a volcano. ⺠Most of the translation movements in the cone are organized around Sigmoid-I fault.
